    This pretty, Georgian cottage situated on the Northumberland coast in a quiet hamlet, is the perfect getaway for families holidaying together or larger groups looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat. A tranquil, large garden boasts outside seating for alfresco dining and Craster is a short 8 minute stroll down paths to the harbour village.

    • Northumberland coastal path direct from cottage. (North to the beautiful beach at Embleton and South through Craster to Howick and along to Sugar Sands)
    • Howick Hall just a 1 1/4 mile walk or a 5 minute drive.
    • Lovely location for exploring the Northumberland coast and Alnwick area.

    Your house is gorgeous! We loved the interiors, the space and the bath. The garden was great for the kids to play in and the location was surprisingly convenient. We loved the Stable Yard coffee shop and the cottage Inn was super friendly. We walked along to Craster a lot and enjoyed the harbour area and also the route via Dunstanburgh Castle to Low Newton. Our recommendations are: The Alnwick Garden The Jolly Fisherman Riley's Fish Shack (Tynemouth) Beadnell Towers Craster Smokehouse Walk from Beadnell to Seahouses.

    We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our week in this well equipped tastefully decorated house. We visited Ford and Etal, Lindisfarne, Alwnick and Howick Gardens, Alnmouth Beach and lots of local walks with Bree (labrador) who is very pleased to have been allowed to stay with us. The location is perfect to access many beautiful beaches.

Highlights for us have been walks from the house to the coastal path, Lindisfarne and seeing puffins and guillemots and the Farne Islands.     We have had a wonderful week in this beautiful house - so relaxing; just what we wanted. Easy walk to craster - 2 long walks north & south on the coastal path. Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Warkworth and Wallington - a joy to rediscover Northumberland after many years away. Loved taking Monty to Barter Books too. We hope to return!
